Farhia Ahmed

Managing Director, Founder and Lead Consultant at the JobHunters

Farhia Ahmed began her public service career soon after her university graduation as a casual employee at the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC). She successfully morphed that opportunity into a career that has spanned nearly 10 years in the Federal Public Service. Utilizing her knowledge and experiences of the Federal Public Service hiring process from both ends of the spectrum, Farhia would go on to develop strategies and methodologies that she used to assist numerous friends and colleagues win their own competitions and promotions. After a string of successes, and buoyed by the encouragement of those she helped, Farhia realized that there existed a need for expert and affordable career coaching services specializing in the Federal Public Service that were designed for and accessible to the general public. As a result, in 2008, she started the JobHunters.

An award winning public servant, in 2003, Farhia was bestowed a prestigious Certificate of Recognition from the Minister of State of Multiculturalism and Status of Women for her contributions to the Minister's Forum on Diversity and Culture.
